Pleased to ‘e-meet’ you! Yes, yes –  dweeb alert! (I’ll have you know that this dorky digital greeting has prised a begrudging smiley-faced emoticon or two out of plenty of secretly cheesy okes). Feel free to use it – or mock me for it. I won’t hold it against you.

Welcome to my wwworld. Hope you like it. It’s filled with colour, crafty shenanigans, culinary experiments (including shit-hot traditional Cape Malay recipes courtesy of Aunty Julie, my Bo-kaap born-and-bred super mom), DIY dalliances (records of my eager, personal attempts at home improvement), tales of Cape Town adventures and some other odds and ends that are a little harder to categorise right now. It’ll come together as I go along. Promise.

The important thing to note about this blog – nay, my personal goal here – is to provide you with useful and wherever possible, interesting information. Handy hints or lessons gathered along my crafty journey – whether it’s a tidbit or a paragraph that’ll delight you or teach you something new – I’m all about sharing.
